Community Involvement

Safe Haven of Tarrant County

After 5.0. Connections is also about Community Service and our intentions are such that we will donate to many different organizations in the future.

$1400 dollars was donated to SafeHaven from proceeds from our Silent Auction held in conjunction with this year's Black & White Ball.

SafeHaven is a merged organization between The Women's Shelter and Women's Haven of Tarrant County.  Safe aven provides Residential Services for women and children who are escaping from verbal and emotional abuse.  Victims of domestic violence now have the option of which emergency shelter is best for them based on work location, day care facilities and transitional services available.

SafeHaven also offers outreach services such as the L.I.F.T. (Living Independently Families in Transition) program.  This merger will make possible increased assistance to clients and client programs.  SafeHaven has a pool of 1500 volunteers.  These volunteers logged 34,750 voluneteer hours of service at both Women's Haven and the Women's Shelter of Tarrant County.

The mission of SafeHaven is to reduce family violence through services that support victims and their families and prevent abuse through intervention and education.  After 5.0. Connections is proud that we have chosen SafeHaven as our designated charity for proceeds from our Silent Auction.  You can find out more about SafeHaven at

We are encouraging all members to purchase some of the urgent needs of SafeHaven as donations during the holiday season.
